Rat Nasty™ is a carpet cleaning pre-spray specifically designed to clean neglected carpets like apartments. The 100% active formula contains advanced surfactants and builders, potent oxidizers, special solvents designed to cut through heavy soil and greasy ground-in food spills with ease. Rat Nasty also contains Wanders Red Release™ red dye remover which will release red stains that have not been worked on. This all-in-one pre-spray should save you trips to the van for spotters. It’s all in there. Rat Nasty™ cuts through ground-in soils, foods, grease and Kool-Aid™ spills without the need for additional steps or chemicals. Each order comes with your choice of Fragrance, 100% concentrate (4oz/8lb jar*) (16oz/40lb box) added to help boost your rat nasties as needed.
*Note when we say 8 lb jar, we mean you actually get 8lb of product not just an 8lb jar only partially filled.

(4 to 1) Mix 3 – 6 oz. (9 to 1) Mix 6 – 9 oz.
First, test in a non-conspicuous area for color-fastness. Spray the area evenly. Agitate with a rotary scrubber or CRB (Counter Rotating Brush). Rinse/extract.
Note from Joe to users:
Rat Nasty is a super concentrated all-in-one powdered formula with exceptional cleaning power but as with all concentrated powdered formulas, there is only so much liquid which can be dissolved. It always seemed dumb to use any of this valuable volume for deodorants/fragrances as they do little for cleaning power. I’ve recently decided to give you the deodorant/fragrance on the side and use the freed-up volume to load up on solvent.
So now, Rat Nasty provides all three:
- exceptional cleaning power,
- loads of solvency,
- maximum deodorant/fragrance, so you can add as much as needed for each job.
Use 3-6oz of the powder per gallon rtu.
For the fragrance/deodorization portion, add anywhere from just a few drops per gallon rtu for routine cleaning, up to a maximum of 1 ounce per gallon rtu for true rat nasties.
